Nick, owner, and operator of Hydra Clean also a Wisconsin native currently resides in Eastern Iowa with his wife and son. Serving Cedar Rapids, Dubuque, and Northeast Iowa areas. Nick wanted to be in the trades but, he started roofing in 1990. In 1997, a friend approached him and asked if he had ever considered window cleaning as an alternative to roofing. Nick had not, and shortly after investigating the profession started building a route of businesses and houses. A few years after in 2003, Nick had left the roofing industry. In 2007 he became aware that window cleaning was not the only service that he should offer and began power washing. Power washing with its diversity of cleaning applications allowed many options. He learned how to properly soft wash homes with all surfaces, concrete cleaning, and more recently wood applications. In 2012 on-site blind cleaning was added to their services, with on-site drapery cleaning added in 2015. In early 2019 he began offering wash equipment, soaps, and services to colleagues and the agriculture industry. Nick also volunteers his time in aiding the education of other contractors on best practices, and guidelines for the washing industry.
